Good Design Award 2016 (G-mark)

Prempracha's Collection is pleased to announce that our EPOCH collection in collaboration with Thinkk Studio has received the Good Design Award 2016 (G-mark) from Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP).
About the Good Design
The Good Design Award is a comprehensive design-promotion system that picks good design out of a variety of unfolding phenomena, and aims to enrich our lives, industries, and society as a whole by highlighting and celebrating these works. It is hosted by the Japan Institute for Design Promotion, a public interest incorporated foundation. Submissions come from a wide range of fields, and roughly 1200 designs are recognized every year. Over 59 years, around 43,000 designs have been recognized by the awards. Recipients of a Good Design Award are granted use of the G Mark symbol, which has been an emblem of good design for over half a century.

Design Excellence Award 2016

Prempracha's Collection is please to share the news that two of our collections have won Thailand's Design Excellence Award (DEmark) 2016 under the category of Lifestyle products.
1. Indigo Plates by our designer/expertise, Mr. Kuroki
These Indigo plates represent the combination of two northern Thailand's oldest and most precious arts; the arts of weaving and hand-forming ceramics. Each plate is unique by the imprints of the fine and beautiful woven fabrics. As if the history of each thread is preserved onto the baked clay, everlasting through the age of time.
2. Epoch Collection in collaboration with Thinkk Studio
The inspiration comes from the long history of ceramics. The prototypes are hand-crafted by our talented artisans then reproduced by contemporary technique, leaving the surface with traces of hand-forming evidence. This collection is simply a brief reminder of ceramic making evolution from the past to present.

Internship Program 2016

Every year Prempracha's Collection welcomes students, both undergraduate and graduate students, to our internship program. Here, students will have a chance to study all of the processes in the making of ceramics. Furthermore, they will get a hands on experience in creating their own designs and bring them into life. Along the way, the students will learn earn market consideration skills and problem solving skills in real production line.
This year, the first group of interns from Chulalongkorn University and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, presented their works which they have personally designed and produced. |
